I coach teams to become high-performing in the building of products that create value for the users and business,
as an Agile Coach and Agile Consultant.
I have used XP-specific Agile practices like weekly/bi-weekly iterations, retrospectives, continuous deployment, TDD, MMFs, "done-done", team trust, and other tools that inspire development teams and hold them accountable.
I have leveraged tools like validated learning, innovation accounting, user testing, smoke testing, MVPs, and other practices that ensure my teams build the right things at the least cost, always with focus on what user problems we're solving.
I have used Daniel Pink's teachings about team and individual motivation to give my teams the room they need to learn and grow, while ensuring they have the support, guidance and tools to do so.
As an Agile PM/Coach at The New York Times, I teach Agile and XP values, while leading cross-functional and departmental projects to improve our customer experience, break into new markets, and improve our bottom line.
As an Agile Project Manager, I led a small XP team of 2 developers and 1 UI/UX designer to launch the new Flavorpill, a social events platform, across 10 cities, including web and mobile apps in preparation for a launch at SXSW.
Yibboo was a startup project to prove the social education market. This was my first foray into using lean product development practices to formulate hypotheses and test them cheaply and quickly, culminating in a weekend beta and 500 users.
